We were very often been asked by potential customers for a high-temperature resistant sealing compound or adhesive that could be used for temperatures up to 1500ºC. The maximum temperature resistance that we previously guaranteed was 1000 or, since a few months, 1300ºC.
The numerous requests from industry and research finally initiated an in-house- development of a sealing compound that can cope with temperatures up to 1500ºC. Since this was wezi-lit's development, we have had the temperature resistance confirmed externally by an acknowledged, independent ceramic institute in accordance with DIN EN 993-12.
The wezi-lit W-1500 is a product that can be used in various applications for bonding, jointing, sealing, fixing and repairing a wide range of materials where permanent temperatures of up to 1500°C occur.
Another main advantage of the new wezi-lit adhesive and sealant W-1500 over conventional products is, that the adhesive is supplied, ready for use and is sedimentation-free, so that no further mixing or stirring is necessary, i.e. it is ready for use at any time, thus saving additional valuable working time and thus ensuring an optimum adhesive strength at all times during processing.
In case the entire content of a container is not processed immediately, the residual quantity of the again airtight resealed container can be used for up to 6 months without any loss in quality.
The new wezi-lit adhesive and sealing compound W-1500 is of course available in different sized containers.
