Our History

Looking back, we have always looked to the future.

Since 1949, tradition and modernity have driven our rapid development, which has been characterised both by success and continuity.

1949: Entry into the development and production of sealants

Early 50s: First production machine for manufacturing high temperature lutes

Late 50s: Increased demand requires an expansion of the production facility by larger machines.

1962: Artur Zipp appointed second general manager alongside Josef Weber

1985: Production of the first elastic cement K63

90s: The wezi-lit product line at the time

1995: Dr. Thomas Zipp appointed general manager alongside Artur Zipp

1998: Product launch W-1000: Development of the first segregation-free mineral cartridge cement

2017: After 47 years, Joachim Steiner hands over management of production and development to Benjamin Stolz.

2024

wezi-lit products are from now on also available in practical aluminum tubes, a modern and user-friendly solution.
In addition, stove ropes and a specially developed stove‑rope adhesive - likewise in an aluminum tube - expand our portfolio. This creates another perfectly coordinated product set for both professional and private users.

2023

Our wezi-lit products are now finding their way onto the most well-known e-commerce platforms. This significantly increases our reach and makes our quality products even more accessible to customers worldwide.

2022

We succeed in developing a new generation of adhesives and sealants: first, we create a formulation that withstands extreme temperatures of up to 1200°C. The market launch of W 1200 takes place in the same year and sets new standards in our segment.

Driven by our success and our passion for innovation, we soon develop a further optimized variant that can even withstand 1500°C. This high‑performance product, W 1500, is successfully introduced in 2022.

Our luting (later trade name wezi-lit) covers 75% of the German stove and boiler kit demand in the heating technology market; we can guarantee impermeability up to 1,000 ° C with our impressive W-49 product.
